A three-sport athlete, earning four letters in basketball, three in football, and two in baseball, Pollard was named All-Northwest Conference all four years in basketball where he averaged 11.6 points in 106 games. He was instrumental in Lewis & Clark’s first basketball championship in 1949. He played both offensive center and quarterback in football and was an outfielder-pitcher in baseball.
