football, men’s track & field
Active from 1948-1952 • Inducted in 1983
Cox was a four-year letterman in football and track & field, starting defensive back on the undefeated 1950 Conference Championship football team. He is also a Northwest Conference champion in the 440, holding the Lewis & Clark school record in that event.
Cox became a custom home builder after graduation and built many custom homes. He was glad to be done with running the 440, but always happy to be involved with the L&C track & field and football team. It was the best of days and many happy days. He was also of hunter of many animals and birds and loved all sports. He is thankful to be with the fine group of men on the GI Bill returning from WWII.
