Kling was a four-year letter winner as a member of the softball team and women’s basketball team. As a freshman softball player, she helped her team place second in the Northwest Conference, and as a senior in 1982, she helped lead her team to a third place finish. Kling also won the fourth year L&C award in 1982 and notably, was honored as a First-Team WCIC softball selection all four years of play. As a basketball player, Kling was one of the Pioneers' key playmakers on the court. During her senior year, she led the team with 53 assists and was second on the team in steals. She also played two seasons of volleyball for the Pioneers as a setter.
Yoes is a customer service, materials management professional living in Tigard, Ore. She is married with a nearly grown daughter, son, and step-daughter. Her first grandchild is about to turn three years old and is truly a joy to be around. Yoes is currently finishing her 44th year of softball with a trip to a National tournament in Orlando, Fla. She also recently completed her eighth year of Little League umpiring. She was nominated to umpire the Western Regional Softball tournament in San Bernardino, Calif. Yoes currently plays co-ed dodgeball, lifts weights, and participates in yoga and pilates classes weekly. Her life goal is to stay active, see as many sporting competitions as possible, and encourage everyone to support athletics and fitness in as many ways as they are able.
