Hambleton was a four-year letterman as a linebacker who was selected First-Team NAIA All-American in 1964. He was twice named First-Team All-Northwest Conference and played a key role in Lewis & Clark’s undefeated season in 1963.
After their military service, Hambleton and his wife, Dale, lived in Oregon City, Ore., where they raised their two sons. They are both enjoying their retirement by traveling, golfing, and doing volunteer work.
