A member of the 1985 and 1986 Conference Championship volleyball teams, Fransden is a First-Team All-NCIC honoree and a NAIA District 2 Tournament All-Star in 1985 and 1986. She captained the 1986 NCIC Championship team which went on to win the NAIA District 2 Championship and placed second at the NAIA National Championship Tournament. She was selected as a Second-Team NAIA National Volleyball Tourney All-Star in 1986.
Frandsen lives in Silverlake, Wash. with her husband Tim. They have one son, Casey, and a daughter-in-law, Ada, who have five year old triplets. Frandsen was in secondary education for 25 years as a Health/PE teacher and more recently as a secondary school counselor. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and watching/playing volleyball.
