Boyle led the Pioneer football team in rushing from 1966-1968 and in scoring from 1966-1967, ending his career as the number five all-time rusher with 1,993 career yards and number ten on the single-game rushing list with 199 yards vs. Pacific in 1966. He is sixth on the all-time scoring list (168 pts.) and ninth in single-season scoring (60 pts.). He was selected to the First-Team All-Northwest Conference twice, and was the NWC javelin champion in 1967 and pole vault champion in 1968.
